Kolak

Dear lovelies......cooking for Ramadhan is quite difficult easy stage. Its easy because You just go and stir Your kitchen with Your magick wan to create some yummy delies*. It is difficult because You have to measure up all those ingredients for a healthy reason, to create a great concoction to stand Your fasting days. Well, to feel hunger is what we aim for since by feeling hungry You can cleanse Yourself and be more attune with all the story surround You. 

And with this thought i try to shape up an old traditional ta'jil* into something that can be very much healthy and refreshing for Your iftar* insyaAllah.    

Ingredients
========
1 or 2 pieces of sweet potato (* cut into dice
4  slices of Banana cut into 6 pieces
1 cup of mung bean (soak into cold water up to 1-2 hours)
1 onz palm sugar grated
2-3 spoons of white sugar
2 glasses of coconut milk / milk
1 package of small nata de coco (** 
2,5 litter of Water 
1-3 Pandan's leaves to enhance the aroma (*** 
1 small bark of cinnamon
A pinch of salt

How to cook
=========
1. Boil the water with the mung bean and sweet potato until they are well cooked and tender.
2. Then put palm sugar, sugar, leaves of pandan, salt, and the cinnamon. sweet potato.
3. After it is boiling then add the milk or coconut milk and nata de coco 
4. Dont let the milk or the coconut milk is broken, so stir carefully in a dim fire. Wait until it is simmering before we turn it off.
5. We can serve with ice or just warm to be placed in a bowl.


(* the sweet potato can be replaced or add with 0,25 kg pumpkin or 1 cassava cut into dice
